Changing environmental impact of products

This chart shows that products are being made more efficiently but we are buying more and more of them. Each line represent a different product group and you can track how spend and emissions intensity has changed from 1997 onwards.

The spends remove price effects from inflation and the axes show percentage increases or decreases from the starting year.
